Popside Candy named finalist for 'MI New Favorite Snack' competition
Popside Candy and their famous freeze dried candy have been selected as a finalist for the 'MI New Favorite Snack' competition.
Stakes are high for each of the competing emerging snack brands. "The Biggest Snack Competition In America" offers prizes including $50,000 cash and a distribution contract with local host All-Star Services.
Popside Candy Founder Jeff Dinser sees this contest as an opportunity to share his freeze dried products: "The MI New Snack Competition allows Popside Candy to share our candy with those who are looking for a new and exciting snack experience."
"As a new small business, this contest represents an opportunity to educate and spread brand awareness," says Jeff, a graduate from Michigan State University. "Most of our customers have never heard of freeze dried candy, and there is no better way to teach than handing a customer a sample and having them experience it themselves."

- Company story
- Branding and packaging
- Company engagement
- Marketability
- Taste
The public event will take place in Port Huron, MI on September 17th. The event will begin at 10 am with a public market, where attendees can enjoy tasty samples and purchase their new favorite Michigan Made snacks.
"I truly believe Popside Candy is the most unique and innovative snack on the market," Jeff said. "Winning this prize money would allow us to make the required investments to scale in an efficient and profitable way, and keep our family owned business working together for generations to come."
